SEAI Insulation Grant

All homeowners, including landlords, whose homes were built and occupied before 2011 can apply.

Grant funding can only be issued once per property for each type of works. This means that any property which previously availed of wall insulation via the Better Energy Homes scheme, or any other government scheme, cannot receive additional support for further wall insulation works

SEAI gives up to €8000 grant value for insulation. We will also help you to get this grant value. Our company’s mission is to help private dwellings get more energy efficient. We provide our clients with a high standard finish and the best after-sales services.

This campaign runs in different towns of Ireland, including Dublin, Cork, limerick, Galway, Leinster, Kildare, and Laois.

What is the best type of insulation to use for my Home or Office building?

As when making choices for insulation systems and materials to use on your building project there will always be multiple options to choose from.

Important factors to consider are:

  • The building’s location and structure
  • The use of the building or area to be insulated
  • Your allocated budget
  • Is there a grant available to offset part of the cost
  • The choice of materials to be used
  • How thermally efficient is the material you are going to use
  • Time constraints – supply of materials or service providers

What insulation materials do Cool To Be Warm Insulation Services use or recommend?

The type of insulation material you are going to use will really depend on your circumstance. We regularly use a variety of insulation materials depending on our clients’ requirements and specifications. Insulation materials provided can be broken down into two main categories, rigid and non-rigid. Rigid insulation generally consists of rigid non fibrous foam insulation made from polystyrene with a thermally reflective covering on both sides. Spray foam would also come into this category as it dries to a rigid insulation type.

Non rigid insulation consists of a fibrous material like fibre glass or rockwool. They both have advantages and disadvantages, but we will be happy to advise you within the context of your project. Rigid insulation tends to be more efficient in general but more expensive and the non-rigid insulation like rockwool and fibreglass are cheaper but not as efficient.
